A Little Bit About Me

Professional and Educational Background

I continue to serve in the Navy, now for over 25 years. In the ’90s, I served in the nuclear power program and since 2007 as a logistics officer while deploying to Afghanistan in 2011 and the Horn of Africa in 2020. In the civilian sector, my background includes time serving in sales and the financial services industry and finally as a civil servant with a government agency directly serving members of our local community. I hold a MBA from Regent University in Virginia Beach.

Why Real Estate?

I am most passionate about “Servant Leadership” which is leading others by serving them. My heart for this, combined with my financial services background, sales and over two decades of serving our country in uniform has prepared me well to serve in yet another area: real estate. I am here because I find great joy in meeting new people, identifying their needs and wants and coming alongside them to achieve their goals. The most exciting part for me is the initial meeting where I get to hear their wants and needs and then helping them realize them.

Free Time?

Before 2014, I would have told you I was an ultra-runner and nothing else. I actually have 62 finishes of a marathon or longer with the majority of those longer than a marathon…and even three 100-milers! However, since late 2014, I fell in love with CrossFit and functional fitness. That led me to design and build a 3rd car garage onto our home that is exclusively a CrossFit gym for my wife and me. When I am not working or in the garage, my wife and I love to take short weekend vacations to cities we have never been to and getting outdoors and exploring them. We always seek out new craft breweries on our travels and often will find a trail to throw our rucksacks on and go for a hike. I also actively serve at my local church in Kent, Ohio where I am an elder and co-teach the 1st-4th grade kids with my wife.
